Cafe Centraal Wedding | Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

Ashley and Max were married in an intimate outdoor ceremony at Cafe Centraal in Bay View on July 27, 2017.  Their excitement for the day was infectious – as were their sweet, lighthearted, go-with-the-flow personalities!  Their overall vision for the day was “light, romantic and whimsical in an urban setting”. Beautiful cascading florals and a sage, mint and gray color pallet also made for a soft, summery aesthetic. It was such an honor to be their wedding photographer!

The morning of the wedding, the entire wedding party got ready at the Iron Horse Hotel.  The girls sipped on mimosas before Ashley got into her dress and did her final touch ups.  Before leaving for Cafe Centraal, she did three (!) first looks. The first was with her two nieces (who loved seeing Auntie Ashely in her gorgeous wedding gown!). Next with her mom and mother-in-law-to-be. The final first look was with  her dad.  Ashley had a special heart shaped patch that she purchased from Etsy to pin onto the back of her dad’s tie that read “You may have loved me first, but I have loved you my whole life.” Aweee!

The wedding was officiated by a good friend of the bride and groom and one of the bride’s close friends played all of the music on a keyboard.  Ashley and Max both wrote and read their own vows to each other causing lots of joy filled tears throughout the crowd.

After portraits in the Third Ward, the bridal party joined the reception at Cafe Centraal. Ashely and Max were engaged in front of Cinderella’s Castle at Disney World and they also wanted to give a nod to Ashley’s love of Disney and fairytales through the wedding decor.  They did this through the centerpieces, which were open glass boxes with moss and miniature fairytale scenes. It was fun for each of the tables to guess what Disney movie their scene represented!

After dinner and cake (that was made by one of Ashley’s close friends), the rest of the evening was spent dancing and laughing with their friends and family.
