It’s no secret that I love newborn lifestyle sessions! There’s something so special about visiting a client’s home, photographing the nursery they lovingly decorated in expectation of their new baby, and capturing a family in their own environment. It’s such an intimate experience and I love that the photos document life as it is in this exact moment. My hope for clients is that every time they look at their images they will remember what those first few weeks really felt like (despite the fact they aren’t sleeping and life is a blur)! The awe of having created a new life…the overwhelming love…the weight of this tiny human in your arms… All precious moments that you want to cling on to for a lifetime.

This session was so sweet. Baby Nolan was on his best behavior and it was fun being able to capture some images of him awake and also asleep. The clean lines and neutral tones of the nursery gave it such a light and airy feel. Mom and Dad are both designers, and mom designed and installed the green statement wall in the nursery with help from her own father. It is so unique and added a pop of color along with the geometric mobile!
